Appearance:A large, noble head with either a straight or ram-like profile. The neck is extremely muscular and arched, well set and carried. They are deep and wide though the chest, quite flat though the withers, and with a long, strong back. The hindquarters are muscular, the croup slightly sloping, and the tail carried high.

The Lipizzaner is a warmblood horse.
They're usually born black, then change slowly over 6 to 10 years to their trademark white color. Occasionally a Lipizzaner colt is born pure white, but that is a rarity.
Super Fact:These High School jumps are popularly known as the 'airs above the ground'. The Lipizzaners at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna are world renown for their beautiful 'dances'. They are one of the few breeds, along with the Lusitano and Andalusian breeds, that are trained in these High Dressage movements.
